Which is my first day back at work?

I'm currently signed off sick by the GP for a month with a statement of fitness of work that says it runs to 19 April 2024 - 31 days. I have a number of medical appointments coming up in the next couple of weeks so this date may change but assuming it doesn't is my first day back at work Friday 19th or Monday 22nd April (I don't work weekends)?

Work have generally been very good and I've had weekly check ins with my line manager. I've now been told that I will need to attend a review (back to work not performance) on 19th April. I would have thought this should be the Monday as I read the certificate as including the 19th as a sick day.

Tbh if they've been supportive throughout, does it make a huge difference to have a review on Friday instead of Monday?

I too would have assumed the dates specified were inclusive, but I wouldn't push it if the employer was otherwise good.

You're unfit to work for the date range stated, therefore 22 April.
