Redundancy decisions advice much appreciated

Hi
I have been given a date of 30th September for redundancy
Severance is very good, I could afford to take time out to retrain.

Really don't know what to do. Currently work as a business analyst in an Agile lab. Have a technical background, but many years on the business side. Degree was Law, but never practiced

Feel like I may want a change of direction, but no idea where to start. I am paid pretty well (£57,000), but could afford to take less for a vocational change as my severance could reduce some outgoings.

I am a bit scared, been in a safe corporate job for 25 years. However I know given rising retirement ages I will likely work for another 20, this seems like an opportunity to think about a different future

Where on earth do I start? At the moment I am treading water, not doing enough to take the next step.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I think you need to force yourself to get active about doing something, anything. Are you having to work to the end of September or will you finish sooner?

Try to approach it like a project at work I.e figure out what you want but give yourself a time limit on this otherwise you will get stuck and nothing will happen. Then move to the next phase of making it happen.
