Hi!
im ttc as i have endometriosis & adenomyosis its been 8 months and nothing.

im starting a new job with the civil service and its 6 months probation.
i will stop trying fir a 2-3 months, but worried that if i fall pregnant they would let me go . Ive been in the same job for years, so not sure how it works.
thankyou :)

I'd like to think the civil service wouldn't engage in quite such blatant pregnancy discrimination.

I'd be thinking more about entitlement to statutory maternity pay etc.

When do you start?

I start at the 3rd week of april, i know i did think that. If i worked well and done all my work then i should be ok too. I wouldnt mind even if i didnt get the 6 months full pay just the stat! X

Take the job like you're not ttc.
Ttc like you haven't taken the job.

All the best with both.

That definitely won't happen op, don't worry! I got married a few weeks after starting in the CS and had a baby about 16 months later. I think you would be wise to wait a few months so you get your full pay, I can't remember the rules now. Something like being there a year by the time you're 25 weeks pregnant I think. I worked in the CS for 10 years, had 3 maternity periods and managed to get 3 promotions- I was very pregnant in one of the interviews! I left of my own choice to pursue a new career. Definitely don't be worrying, and good luck!

@FUPAgirl aww thankyou! Sounds like you done great :) especially being heavily pregnant and changing roles.
