Hello. Can anyone give me tips on getting a job at tescos?I'm a mum of 2 and would like to work nights 12-16h a week.I don't have any retail experience but I have been working in childcare for nearly 20 years, degree educated and I hold a clean driving licence. Can my skills be transferable?I have probably no chance but worth giving it a go.Thank you.

My local Tesco doesn’t open 24 hrs anymore, so night shifts are probably replenishment and picking online orders. Retail experience isn’t really applicable for these shifts. I can’t see any reason why you have no chance, they’d be lucky to have you.

Aww thank you. That's what they want you to do click and collect and restock.

I have a relative that works for Tesco and has done for 15 years now and I’ve asked them -
They said to apply online and the recruiting manager will get in contact to arrange an interview. It is a laid back interview, more about getting to know you as a person etc

Depending on where you are based, they do take on seasonal temps throughout the summer months and they start recruiting for these around April/May time.

I would look at other supermarkets too. LIDL and ALDI pay the best so it seems.
