Lack of experience

I’m 27, and on £40k in a role adjacent to where I want to be, and have a job interview for my desired career path tomorrow. However it’s also a promotion and will come with a steep pay rise

but I can’t help but feel like I have a lack of experience and don’t deserve it? I have been working for a decade and worked all throughout university and have a degree, however I have changed jobs over the years. I have worked in NHS mental health services, data, operational delivery/retail, HR and management positions. Both private sector and civil service experience. The longest I’ve been with an employer is 3 years

Therefore I just feel like although I have breadth of experience I might lack depth? I just feel really unsure about the interview although it would be a dream job. I just don’t know if I’ve wasted my life because if I enter my desired industry sooner, I would have built up my skills and experience sooner instead of trying different things and be more of an expert?

Well, do you have all the experience and qualifications that this new job requires? Then you will be capable of doing it. Good luck with the interview!

You might like to look into some business coaching or mentoring, to give you more confidence.
