Temping contracts for a long time, now stuck

I've just worked out I've been doing contracts for the past 7 years! A long time. Basically after I was in a job for 5 years I had jobs of about 6 months and then a year (both perm) which weren't the right fits.

I've contracted for a year in 2 separate contracts and for 18 months in another contract. I've also been offered and accepted 2 permanent jobs - both not on my CV, which just didn't work out, a couple of reasons. I won't lie, I enjoyed temping contracts as it made it very easy for me to walk away from contracts and companies where I didn't feel I was a good fit (not just me either, my colleagues were similar who left!) and mostly I just stuck at it for the length of the contract and if someone asked me to apply permanently often I didn't because I enjoyed the freedom to move.

Now I'd like a permanent job for security reasons but also to add value and to enjoy a job, but it seems like I'm stuck with contracts. Employers look at my CV and seem to run scared from it due to my contracts. I'm thinking of retraining anyway not 100% sure what in yet and may be speaking to a careers adviser I know.

Has anyone had experiences like I've had? I have a lot of experience and good experience.
