Injury at work

I’m just looking for some advice from others if they been in same position.
in October 2022 I was injuried at work. Since having on going treatment it’s still not any better. I’m currently awaiting mri results. I was recently off for 5 weeks after having a steroid injection reaction and had a meeting after returning to work for 2 days. My supervisor and HE manager told me I’m unfit for work. So I’m signed off again.

my DH thinks I should make a claim. I’m only being paid SSP which isn’t helping me cover my expenses. I don’t understand how to make a claim and that.
is there anyone that can advice.

If you're injury is causing you to miss work and lose money, and was a result of employer H&S failure, then yes I would make a claim.

You would need a solicitor, however you could find a "no win no fee" that will only require payment on successful claim.

Do some research of solicitors and make sure you check reviews.

Also be aware that claiming might make the relationship with your employer strained - this shouldn't be the case but in reality can result in you losing your job.

I would have a discussion with a solicitor and see how you feel going forward.
