36.5 hours

If you worked full time mon-fri and were able to work your 36.5 hours however you wanted to, what time would you start and finish each day? You have to take at least half an hour lunch break in this scenario which is not included in the 36.5 hours.

Ooh good question! I’d do as early as possible, so like 5am-1pm. Every afternoon off would be glorious. Plus I sleep like shit anyway so might as well make the most of it.

I have this option and it's different every day, depending on DH's whereabouts, the DC's after school mum-taxi needs and the tides (honestly! I work in flood and coastal defence!).

I'm about to start a job that is 36hrs but I'm going to work compressed hours over 4 days (8am-6pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch). I'm working from home though, so no commuting time to factor in.

I currently do 30 hours over 4 days, 9am-5.30pm with an hour lunch.

I walk DDog at lunch so prefer an hour.

If you are commuting I'd probably consider traffic / how busy the station will be. In a previous job I started at 9.30am most days as I could get a fast train & a seat!

I work 7.45 to 3.45 , early finish 3.15 one day. (37hrs)
In an ideal world I would start at 6am.
Unfortunately I am limited by the before school club opening times

Our team have flexible working. I don't have children, but usually work 8-4.
Do you have to lock in the same hours each week, or can you change it week to week to suit you?

Mon- Thur - 7.5hr / day
08:30 to 12:30 then 13:00 to 16:00
Fri - 6.5hr / day. Early finish.
08:30 to 12:30 then 13:00 to 15:30

8-4 each day with 45 mins for lunch
