So I'm going to be moving across the country and won't know exactly when until we exchange contracts and agree on a completion date. I have a two month notice period in my current job. I won't have any annual leave I can take until September as I've booked and paid for an upcoming holiday. So I won't be able to take annual leave to shorten my notice period if we move before the autumn. We want a shorter exchange to completion period. As in not longer than six weeks at the very most. Preferably less. Has anyone negotiated a shorter nhs notice period? Could I take unpaid leave? (Effectively leave early). I'll try to negotiate something but I'm not hopeful they'll agree.
