NHS relocation

Has anyone got a job with the NHS and got a relocation package? I wondered how easy and smooth they found the process for claiming back the expenses. I have read the policy that the trust sent me and understand most of what I can claim for, I think it's mostly a case of keeping receipts for absolutely everything.

Pretty much never happens. We always say no. It used to be a thing many years ago, but most trusts can't afford it these days

I've already been offered it.

Claiming normal travel expenses is usually fairly easy. You just keep the receipts and match them to the expense type on an online system. I think different ones are in use by different Trusts, so you’ll just have to follow the instructions you’ll be given.

A relocation package as in removal expenses and costs of setting up a new home? Wow, that never happens these days - used to, but not now. I presume it’s a very senior level post? If so, HR will be able to advise you on what you need to do - Boards/Trusts operate differently.
