Job hunting on anxiety/stress leave

Been with my company 3 years and it's just not for me, manager totally unsupportive and HR non existant.

I have been signed off with stress for 1 month due to go back next week but really can not face it so decided to start job hunting.
If I do get an interview should i be honest and say i am on stress leave, really unsure what to say about notice also(i am on 3 months. but a lot seem to leave early - very high turnover company)
My sick leave is not great, it's 12 weeks then onto SSP but really can not afford to just resign now and then go job hunting.
Any advice?

My advice would be to not mention with anything they won't be able to find out about.

I've just been jobhunting - they ask 'why are you looking for a new role' but you don't have to say anything about stress, make something up about why the role you're applying for is a better fit for you.

I wouldn't mention stress leave. They might find out about it in referencing but I think it depends on how in-depth their processes are.
