Contract

I work in the NHS. I worked in theatres for 17 years. During COVID I became a housekeeper for 3 years without changing my contract. Now the housekeeping job has ended and I've been told there are no vacancies in the role I used to have in theatres. Where do I stand if I still have a contract for my old job

Did you leave of your own accord?
Were you made redundant?
Did you have 2 jobs at once?

I'm trying to understand how you still have a contract if you have worked elsewhere for 3 years

Am guessing they have to find you a role at your current grade/pay, but not necessarily your old role

They need to put you through a redundancy process- they need to find you a suitable role at your level, and if there is none then follow it with contractual redundancy payment. But they need to follow the process. If they don’t follow the process then it is unfair dismissal as you have been there for longer than 2 years.
