Job hunting while on probation

I recently started a new job but have realised it's not for me so I'm job hunting. During my probation period I only need to give a few weeks notice but after probation it's much longer. If my employer finds out I'm job hunting can they dismiss me while I'm on probation? I'm still being professional and working hard my day job.

Yes, you can be dismissed for almost any reason during your first two years of employment (discrimination aside). The notice period for you and them should be in your contract. For example, mine was one week during probation and one month after.
