To cut a long story short, last year, I left a job for one with more pay and better opportunities....only to find the new job was shocking. I then resigned as it was beyond awful and I am now looking for another job with the usual worries nothing is out there for me 🤔. Any solidarity out there?

I’m not in exactly the same position but I’ve had two jobs in quick succession high have been awful and I only stayed for one year in each. I was lied to in the interviews by both employers but I’m one of those people who will usually “give things a chance”.

I am finding however that there are still lots of jobs in my field, but the problem is I’m scared of being burned again (toxic workplace or incompetent management or uncontrollable staff turnover due to unreasonable expectations).

Im still in shock about my last job, I had a shouty boss and I didn’t enjoy that at all

I left a toxic job a few years ago. I used to dread going to work it was so awful. The relief when I left was amazing.

I assume you've set up job alerts on indeed, reed, linkedin etc. Have you spoken to ex colleagues to see if anything is coming up in your field or at their companies?

I left a job in 2022 for one that was perfect on paper and amazing to start off
It's quickly become a very toxic place to work, I can't afford to just quit without another job so hanging in for now.
I am waiting to find out about an interview last week but I am nervous as I need dental surgery soon and really don't want to start a new job asking for time off, that is of I even get the job.
There is nothing much around where I live most jobs are seasonal
