How to get into childcare work?

Hi, having now finished having babies I am looking for a total career change and am interested in working in childcare, maybe nursery nurse or teaching assistant. However I can't work full time at the moment due to my own childcare. If you work either of these jobs how did you get into it? What qualifications etc? Is it possible to find part time work in these areas?
I'm miserable in my office job and really don't want another office job, I am 33, looking at at least another 30 years of working and don't want to be stuck continuing doing admin for the rest of my life but also a bit worried about taking on an apprenticeship in my 30s😬

Hi. I work in a nursery currently as lunchtime cover. It was ideal when I first started due to childcare etc as it was just 4 hours a day. So definitely something to look into. I have qualifications for teaching assistant but the nursery job came up first. I don't thi k they were looking for any particular qualifications, just a clean dbs etc.

They have offered to put me through my level 2 and 3 childcaee, however I'm not looking to stay in a nursery for much longer.

I think teaching assistant jobs are mainly full time, so a lunch cover may be ideal.
