Teaching assistant

I want to become a primary school level 3 teaching assistant.

I have a level 3 award in Education and Training -AET.

The jobs are asking for level 3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent.

Does anyone know if an AET qualifications is equivalent? or would I have to do a supporting teaching qualifications?

Has anyone got a AET works in primary instead of further education?

Your best option would be to ask specific schools you are interested in.

If you have a HE qualifications in any curriculum subject you could become a secondary TA they are generally less interested in the Level 3 qualifications and will likely train you up anyway
