I would really appreciate any pointers on likely interview questions and tasks. Tips would be so welcomed. I'm preparing for competency based questions, just would appreciate some direction.

As in in school? If so, there is likely to be something around discretion , safeguarding and depending on nature of the role, dealing with difficult conversations, eg angry parents, complaints etc. An inbox exercise or similar as the task.

It is a relatively new role and there certainly isnt a standard job description. It would depend how large a Trust it is? very different in a 35 school one to a 5 or 10 school one.

Things to be aware of

KCSIE 2023 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/keeping-children-safe-in-education--2
School Governance (maybe particularly if Trust doesnt have a governance lead as may be minuting the board) https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/governance-handbook

I know one PA who drives the CEO from school to school for example
Booking meetings, balancing diaries
Chasing Trustees (if no governance lead)
Liaising with DfE regional office

What does the job description include?

Keeping children safe in education

Statutory guidance for schools and colleges on safeguarding children and safer recruitment.
