Moving from the classroom

I am a 54-year-old teacher, and I am finally looking to move out of the classroom. I am just getting exhausted and want to learn new things. I do not want to move up into senior leadership. I could take time out to do an MA. My friend did a Master's in Teaching Dyslexia and now tutors and works in a school part-time to support literacy teaching. Does anyone have any other ideas of this sort?

There's a Facebook Group you might get more help from, called

Life After Teaching - Exit the Classroom and Thrive

The fact it has 154 000 members is telling Sad

Thank you - I will check it out now. It is sad how many teachers feel they can't stay in the profession. Two of my friends have moved into new careers, and even though they no longer have the long holidays, they say their well-being has vastly improved.

Absolutely I hear that so often. I've taken a step down job from teaching but given were working another 20 years I'd really like another career.
