Tupe"d to a non existent job

Less than a month ago I was tupe'd I have given the new company all of my details.
Yesterday I was told that my job no longer exists.

Can they do this ?

IF they are claiming your role does not now exist then they are trying to make you redundant, check out their HR policies. Are you the only person affected?

Yes they can do this, I know many people who have been tupe'd and made redundant on the first day of their "new" (non existent) role.
