New Job/Applying for others protocol

So I’ve not long started a new job and something I am very interested in has been advertised in an off-shoot organisation. I’m tempted to apply because it’s better pay, better hours, better additional benefits. I have a matching skillset. Deadline closes in a few days.

Should I put my new job on my CV even though I have only been there a couple of weeks and expect to have to explain at interview why I am applying so soon, or just pretend it doesn’t exist and put my previous employment?

Apply but be honest, if you get offered it they’ll need a reference and P45 from your current employer so you need to be upfront.
