CIPD chartership interview

I have got my CIPD chartership interview next week and have no idea what to prep on or expect - the CIPD guidance is really lacking so was wondering if anyone has done it recently and has any tips on the questions they will likely ask?

My advice would be:

1. do your own CPD plan, and mention how you “do” CPD.
2. gather thoughts about where you have added value/helped the business achieve its objectives. Think about your impact, avoid using “we” and remember this is about your impact
3. the CIPD loves evidence based practise
4. read the code of conduct
5. be familiar with the profession map

Are you going for MCIPD or FCIPD? I did my FCIPD upgrade last year so could provide some tips there but can't recall my MCIPD upgrade as it was around 10 years ago and framework is completely different.

Are you on the HR Ninjas Facebook group? I received some great tips there last year that really helped me prepare.

Hi! I have my FCIPD interview coming up in couple of weeks. Could you help me out with some tips please

I’ve just had my interview, and I was awarded the upgrade to fellowship. My advice would be to think through some areas where you have influenced the organisation, how you measure your impact and how you contribute to the profession as a whole. My interviewer was very good, and it lasted around 90 minutes. It flew!

Be ready with examples of impact. Like a PP, my Fellowship assessment lasted over an hour and was a thorough grilling!
