Bit of back history first...My previous job completely knocked my confidence. Iv been with my current company for nearly two years but at my actual store for one year. After 6 months of working shop floor I got promoted to shift leader. Iv recently been having some issues with a colleague so brought it to my managers attention. I asked him if he had any concerns himself about my work and he said nothing serious but a few little things that we'd go over during my yearly review. So now I'm stressing that Iv been doing things wrong. Iv not had a yearly review in any of my jobs but am now really worried. Can anyone offer advise?

Annual reviews are quite a standard process in most organisations so I wouldn't worry that it's because you've done things wrong. It's very important to dedicate time to reflect on how you're doing, which aspects you're doing well and which are areas for development. There is always something you can be doing differently so once you know you can put steps in to course-correct and focus on what your manager and you decide.

show that you're receptive to learning and growing which involved hearing (sometimes) difficult things about what you need to improve, it doesn't make you a bad person, we're all humans.
