Help! Hyperemesis, new job, and a toddler.

Hi.
im panicking, looking for advice and handholds.
I have hyperemesis, I’m approx 6 weeks pregnant and have a 2 year old.
Im really am so happy to be expecting again, not planned but so wanted.

I had a job offer within the NHS prior to finding out that I was pregnant. I really want this job. Now I’m scared that:

  • my job offer will be removed
  • that I will be letting new colleagues down, or that they will think badly of me
  • that I will have problems trying to get sick pay. I was on a zero hour contract before so might qualify for SSP (on UC to help with childcare too).

can anyone offer experience, advice or handhold please? I’m so anxious. I haven’t told them yet, I’m just trying to delay start date in hope I will be better.
ahhhh!!

I was working in my first pregnancy, I didn't have hyperemesis then - everything was okay.
I think that's one of the reasons I'm so anxious.

Sorry name change fail 🙈

I have absolutely no answers for you but as someone whose period is now late and has two previous HG pregnancies I feel for you.

Maybe call the Pregnancy Sickness Support charity helpline to talk it all through, they supported me a lot in my second pregnancy.

Thank you so much, I might give them a try.
If you find that your expecting to, I'm wishing you an easier journey this time
