Self Employed Mums - What Do You Do?

I'm thinking about a career change.

I have a 2.5yo and have been an Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant/Admin Assistant for 17 years and don't particularly enjoy the work I am doing at the moment (although it may just be the company that is the issue! I have been here just under a year) and feel the longing for a complete change! With the way the world has gone post covid i've really enjoyed the work from home aspect and am interested to hear from any self employed mums on what you do.

Completely aware it may just be a pipe dream and perhaps just a mem problem and I need to suck it up, but curious to find out what field everyone is in and if they love it/regret the move etc.

Thanks!

Not quite a mum yet (due in May) but I'm an architect. Both myself and my partner left full time employment around the time COVID hit. Took a couple of years to establish as a practice but we are really looking forward to sharing work/life/childcare going forward as we of course would never have had this flexibility before - I'm certain there will be teething problems but the clincher is the ability to work all sorts of weird and wonderful hours generally speaking as long as agreed deliverables are met (thank god for schedule send!)
