I have been with Unison for 2 years. Has anyone felt let down by them? (Same goes for GMB)
I emailed the local office in October as my supervisor was making snidey digs about me being off with COVID, I was worried about facing disciplinary action so I contacted them for advice. NO RESPONSE! I overlooked it. However 2 weeks ago I contacted them by email to ask advice about courses and progession. Again, nothing at all. It angers me as they're happy to take the subscription money and like to virtue signal by publicly fighting for members with more prestigious jobs.
Before anyone accuses me of Union bashing, in the past I found USDAW to be very responsive and attentive. In fact, I was even a shop steward/ rep. I would NEVER have ignored a member.
