NHS ward clerk vacancy

When can I expect to hear back after applying for an NHS ward clerk job? I submitted my application the night before the deadline. Do a lot of people apply for these positions, and how likely is it to get shortlisted? I'm really hoping I'll get an interview 🙏

I have an interview for a similar role tomorrow and they got back to me five days after the job closed (closed on Monday and I heard on Friday and the interview is Tuesday). They don’t give much notice of the interview date so I hope you’ll be available. Good luck!

Oh wow that's great news. I hope your interview goes well. The deadline was on Mon 29th for this job.

Thank you! Well, from having worked in the NHS before, the hiring managers are so busy that they can take a few weeks to reply. I imagine you’ll hear by this Friday. If not, maybe next week you can contact HR to ask.

If it's a new manager they might have made the rookie error of not booking an interview room at the same time as putting out the job advert. The waiting list for interview rooms can be horrendous.

Keep checking your spam folder - NHS Jobs emails seem often to end up in people’s junk mail. Good luck!
