Anyone in Compliance/Risk?

Hopefully this gets some traction!

I am currently working as a private equity lawyer in a small but well known law firm and would love to transition into risk/compliance in a bank/hedge fund but unsure about what the role looks like and what kind of courses to be looking out for?

I'd love to hear from other people in the industry about what the day to day looks like and what I can do to aid my learning.

I do. But in the insurance side of things. Compliance and Risk are very different beasts.

You need to figure out if it's PRA compliance, which is more risk based, or conduct compliance which isn't.

The International Compliance Association is good for Compliance resource.

I work in a compliance and operational team in a large bank. Look at CISI, ICA, CFA IMC….
