Need help focussing in detail in work

Can anyone here offer some advice on focusing on attention to detail in work? I make appointments and am currently being told I’m making too many mistakes while making them, wrong ones etc. I really could do with some good tips as I work in a very busy reception area with lots of distractions which I thought I could handle but now I’m worrying about losing my job

I was told to always check/ proof read three times before sending something. Could you try implementing that?

It feels like overkill but it is amazing how much I still find sometimes on a third read.

I keep saying I’m checking an double checking all my appointments etc but I’m starting to feel stupid saying it as clearly I haven’t been checking everything

I find if helpful to read things back outloud. Can't do that on reception obviously but maybe could just move your lips? Know it seems silly but helps because sometimes our brains just scan read things and miss the details.
