If you start to passively look, what's your method?

I didn't get a promotion and the money/flexibility is good enough that I don't mind staying until I find something better.

But, would you start with the "wild cards"? Be more thorough around the application process? Have very high standards?

This is new to me as I've either been made redundant or headhunted.

Bookmark the careers pages of companies you're interested in (and check them regularly). Let recruiters in your sector know you're interested in new opportunites. Set your linkedin profile to 'open' (not 'open to work' which gives your profile pic a green banner!)
Have your CV updated and ready to go.
