4 day work week and part-time workers

Just been reading about Germany trialing the 4 day week and it made me think. I work 3 days part-time. If my company went to a 4 day work week so all the people who work 5 days still get paid for 5 but work 4, would I be within my right to ask to be paid 4 to work 3? I practically do a full time job as it is, I just have the extra agg of having to manage it in 3 days. Surely that would only be fair...thoughts?

4 days is 80% of 5 days.

3 days is 75% of 4 days.

If a full week was changed from 5 days to 4 days, you should be paid pro rata for 75% of a FT salary. Currently you are presumably paid 60%. It wouldn't be fair to be paid 80% (the equivalent of 4 days now) as you wouldn't be working 0.8 FTE.

Agree with PPs, full time workers would be getting a 20% reduction in their working time, so you would be entitled to the same.
