Changing direction in law after extended career break

Hi, any private client lawyers out there who could help me please?

I am a non-practising solicitor and I’ve been on a rather extended career break caring for children and family.

I was in commercial property but I think my personal skills lie better in private client work. I’m wondering if there are any courses I could do to get up to speed? I’ve identified the STEP diploma but you need 2 years’ experience. I wondered if anyone has any experience/knowledge they could share please about courses/modules / learning that would help?

thank you so much in advance. I know it’s tough going back but I want to try!
