How bad is this? Job application fuck up

I applied to a job I really want at a company whose product I use on a daily basis in my current position. I know the product really well, but because I'm so used to discussing it with colleagues, I've fucked up the capitalisation and written it the way we write it among ourselves, eg: I've written Paypal instead of PayPal, or Ebay instead of eBay.

:( :(

It could be worse - a lot worse
it all depends on how the job focusses on attention to detail / spelling
I’d look over a lack of capitalisation if the application was really strong

Don't worry. People are completely nuts in the recruitment process these days: that's small fry.

I judge applicants poorly for misspelling our company name. I know it doesn’t seem massive but for me it’s just a lack of care. However, if it was for a big company that people use daily (like your examples) I probably wouldn’t dwell too much. Autocorrect to user spellings is a big thing nowadays. My company’s name wouldn’t be dropped into everyday chat, eBay, tiktok etc would. Standard that some people have their devices autocorrect set to the wrong capitalisation.
