Civil series job interview group assesment??

Hi got an email saying i am invited for a group assessment then if successful i will be invited for an interview the same day. Never done this before does anyone know what the group assessments involve? The role is an office based role.

I'm going for one similar but in a contact centre. I was a bit nervous when I saw assessment and to get an interview you have to meet a bench mark score but then luckily an official email confirmation followed indicating that the assessment is a role-play call before which we would be supplied information as a listening exercise. Nearly asked on here would you spend a day's holiday for this! if it goes not my way least I'll have a half day to do what I want.

I was imagining all sorts as I've done group interviews before pre-covid where you are given some wacky things to do. I attended one on job centre premises years ago where it was pretty simple typing reply to a letter to building bridges with straws, marshmallows and other sweets as a group and it was a big plus in your favour if you were not moaning about how long the event was, there was a fair bit of sitting around. I remember getting called to the interview for next day later that day. Another group discussion exercise I remember was a scenario you're stuck on a dessert island after a plane crash, what would you keep - I kept getting this one with different companies around the same couple of years to the point the umpteen time of hearing it it was all to predictable that it made me want to take a back seat whilst not really the best idea as they want to see how you are in such a conversation.

Before now I've really worked myself up learning excel commands at the words data entry only to turn up and find it is typing a letter timed or inserting data one time into a word document.
