DH is changing jobs (1st time in 9 years!!) and he was wondering what he needs from his current employer so he won't be penalised or have to pay more tax than necessary..

When will he get his P45? Do the new company payroll dept only need his tax no.?

TIA

I think he should get his P45 with his last salary slip with his current employer. I think that's all the new company will need.

Also, at the end of the tax year, he should get his P60 which shows his earnings how much tax he has paid to date.

Hopefully someone else will come along and confirm this!
