Last year I started a new job in the same large company. Although it was a step up, it I'm still working in a similar area to before.
I have new responsibilities in addition to my old role, and have dropped some. The problem is I have lost the parts of my job which were challenging. In my new team these are organised by someone much more senior than me.
I guess you could say that's good as I'm being paid for the work I'm doing, rather than being underpaid for work above my pay grade but to honest I'm bored! I have more to do in terms of volume, but it's tedious and basic.
I have volunteered to help/take on some of these more challenging roles in my new team without success. I feel a bit useless. Has anyone else been through this? It's not very fulfilling.
