To leave nursing and do an HNC in admin?

Inspired by another thread regarding nursing yesterday.
I’ve always fancied admin and am currently in an office based role. I’m becoming increasingly envious of the admin staff who don’t have to deal with the actual clinical enquiries.
I’m thinking of just leaving nursing altogether as I’m sick and fed up with it, and doing an HNC in admin.
My only real concern is that admin jobs seem quite low paid in comparison, but hopefully I could work my way up?
Has anyone else done this before? Also please don’t suggest moving jobs etc - I’ve been there and done that and I still don’t enjoy it!

There are plenty of “admin jobs” within nursing that are well paid, the higher up the ladder you go, the less clinical or patient faced you will be.
What about research nursing or disability assessment for the dwp? There really are lots of options rather than leave a profession you’ve worked so hard to achieve.

There are nurse quality and assurance lead roles which aren't patient facing and are more operational.

Agree you'd definitely miss the money if you went for a job that didn't need your medical knowledge.

You don't need an hnc honestly. Some LinkedIn learning on office packages and maybe share point. Admin pay is notoriously shit so if you'd rather do something office based you need to have a career path in mind rather than just "work my way up".

A business studies qualification would be better than an HNC in admin.
