Starting out in business any advice???

Hi I am new to mumsnet and would really appreciate any advice and support. I have just left my job of 8 years with Sony to set up my own Accountancy practice and don't know where to start. Has anyone been through this already and got any advice on how to find clients??

Go to the tax office and get a new tax reference number, do a business plan and go to the bank/find funding. Rent office, get bt to connect phone, advertise, hey presto, if they had any sense they would come running to you. I am thinking of going into accountancy, would you like an assistant? I have a law degree
