My wife has decided to move school at the end of her MAT leave. Before going on leave she was intending to return to the school so decided to take CMP.
We understand that if you stay within the same local authority you do not need to pay this back as it's classed as continuous service. However the school she will be working in is under a different LA. Therefore we will need to pay back these MAT payments.
Does anyone know how the repayments work? Is it deducted from your wages from your new employer/LA, or does it need to be paid back as a lump sum?
