Can anyone give me any G6 CS Interview Tips?

I think I've done as much homework as I can.

I plan on trying to give one example that demonstrates a DD example of behaviour (someone irl gave me that tip).

Can anyone share any tips on interviewing at G6?

Currently I am public sector without any CS experience at all, invited for my first ever interview (never made it through sift before). Feedback score on sift is 'strong demonstration'. Role is very similar to existing PS but with a much larger area of focus.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to make it to the CS interview tip sessions (and they don't seem to be recorded) as I have been at work.

I don't feel particularly hopeful. ETA about the interview process rather than my ability to do the job.

I'd be very grateful if anyone has anything to offer, any tips on what to expect that isn't obvious from success profiles and the job pack?

Read through the success profiles if that’s their method of interview, dependent on department in ours they want to know you can deliver prices but take people with you on that journey. Have that strategic oversight and hold others to account where challenge to your orgs ambitions are found.

Agree make your examples impactful you need to demonstrate leading through others and seeing bigger picture so at G6 that's strategic join up working across government etc. Don't mix up management and leadership. It's leadership that you will need to demonstrate.

I’ve had the G6 interview. I thought it was really formulaic and impersonal. I didn’t come away with the best impression of the process.

I’ve been invited for another interview, different dept. DD grade so I’ll see what I think to that one.

There' a bit to criticise about cs recruitment but formulaic is how it should be so that broadly everyone's experience is the same.
