I’ve worked in the public sector with fixed pay scales most of my career. Now work for a small private company. Had a 4% pay increase in April so I’m presuming this is the normal cycle maybe. I was told in a letter. No meeting or discussion. But I don’t know what’s the norm for discussing salary increases. Would be really interesting to hear how it works for others working for small companies.
