Male coworker acting weird

Hi all,
I started a new job this winter in a community setting in the heart of London. The team is generally really nice. However, one coworker is acting strange with me. He was friendly in my first couple of weeks, but he has started to stare at me a lot when I'm working in my office, has suggested that we co-edit a book together (I've only known him three weeks!!) and he shows off a lot in front of my desk with clients. We've not had an argument, however he's been extremely rude and frosty to me today after disappearing for the best part of a week. He works in another department but our offices work together with customers. I have to work in close proximity with him, but he's really shooting me daggers, ignores my greetings and now makes snidey jokes to other team members about me. I cannot read people's minds, but need advice - of course all I can do is to control my own reaction. It is incredibly tiresome as I have more serious things to think about including five terminally ill relatives. Any advice? Thanks.

A quiet conversation with HR about whether he has form for this shit might be insightful.

Do you think he fancy you. ?

Don’t be so faux naive

I second that,
does he fancy you ?

and he is immature fuckwit type of character , such as personality issues and is doing headfuck mind games thing on you?

My first thought was that he fancies you. I would ask him what his problem is.
