Civil Service working week-shifts

I have been offered a post, the lowest hours they offer is 25 hours on a shift basis.

Roughly 8-8pm daily with 6 Saturdays a month. I can ask for part time flexible working and ideally only want to work 3 days a week.

Anyone got any experience of working for them at all?

Which part of the civil service OP?. And 6 Saturdays per month!?.

I'd like 6 Saturdays a month off work.

Well, 2x12 hour days a week would pretty much be your 25 hours. Plus some Saturdays (6 a year? one in 6?? I don't think there are ever more than 5 Saturdays in a month)
I think you need a bit more information.

Sorry, I'm a bit ill.

6 a year. The tax one :-)

Yes I have emailed them and asked for a conversation.

It says you can work two days a week from home, but unsure if that's based on a 37 hour working week.

But your late and your Saturdays can be done from home which is good. I just have no idea what my working week will look like and I need to be able to anticipate childcare around my husbands job.

Ideally I would like to ask for 3 set days plus Saturdays and obviously cover if needed and i'm able to do more.

Or 2 long days would be amazing.
