I've recently started a new job, this was supposed to be my return to part time work after 5 years as a SAHP.
I want to quit this job,I've actually tried to but the manager persuaded me to stay;we can as a family manage financially if I quit and search for a new job.
The job role isn't as advertised, the training has been so poor and sparse that it makes it difficult to do the role, there's unpaid prep work to each work assignment I do,I have to do this at home, the prep work takes around 10-15 minutes for each assignment as I need to read and understand the brief for each assignment as they are very detailed and missing anything results in the assignment being classed as non compliant.
The assignments are time limited eg 1 hour,2 hours etc and if we go over the time we don't get paid for additional time but if we don't finish then we don't get paid at all for said assignment.
The hours are more than original specified in the job advert and they keep trying to move me around locations when I don't drive (I told them this in my application and in my interview) meaning I'm not at the location specified in the job advert;this incurs costs to me for public transport and adds a significant amount of time to my day.
The pay is pretty crap and the staff at the locations I work at get paid more than I do for the same role (I work for a third party company).
I found out last nights when reading new briefs that for the next 3 weeks they expect me to work evenings at a difficult to access location when it was specified we're allowed to choose our own hours/schedule.
I won't be able to manage said assignments without a lot of difficulty and inconvenience.
How do I politely tell them I'm not doing the above and want to quit immediately as it's unmanageable?
