There has been high turnover, people leaving very quietly (not wanting a leaving lunch, one not even announcing it etc). People not knowing what they’re doing etc.
Manager has some unprofessional behaviours, doesn’t seem comfortable managing and disappears when things get remotely awkward. His single role seems to be dishing out work. Even with this he seems to ‘accidentally’ get peoples’ quotas wrong.
Now in the last 6 months or so whenever anyone has a conversation with him about workload or a slight issue on the team, it gets deferred to his manager.
His manager also happens to supervise a couple of us. She keeps asking “if there’s anything else” during our 1:1s. I’m not sure if she’s digging for his unprofessional behaviours here….
Does this sound like my manager is being performance managed or similar?
