What would you like for Christmas off the boss!

I run a small company with three women on the team ages 30-50. I'm providing a financial bonus but I also want to get a gift to say thank you for all their hard work this year. But I'm quite terrible at buying gifts! What would you like?

It's a marketing based role they do and they work from home. I spending £50 on each and thinking mug, diary, nice plant and card? What do you think!

Time at Christmas is the best gift! A afternoon off sounds lovely.

If you’re a small team I’d try and bug them a voucher for a shop they like? I feel you might know that type of thing in a smaller team? I don’t want nick knack or a hamper. Even an Asda voucher would be grand.

A £50 John Lewis voucher. You can always find a treat in JL.

This is my go to £50 gift, the Liberty £50 gift coin in its own velvet pouch.

Ooh that's lovely unless you live miles from London.

A hand written card thanking me for what I've done during the year, and some really nice chocolates and/or wine.
Honestly anything is good, heartfelt is best.

What a lovely boss !
I would not want a mug or diary , but i would love gorgeous flowers, lovely shower /bath gel , i would be so pleased with a day or afternoon off and a heartfelt thankyou card is always appreciated.

NorthernAttitude · 27/11/2023 22:04

I wouldn't do a diary or mugs. I use my phone for my diary and I'm very choosy about mugs. Definitely a heartfelt message and a voucher. That's lovely to show your appreciation.

A Beauty Pie candle and some Hotel Chocolat please.

Allow them each to leave early on a weekday to get their Christmas shopping done.

A day/afternoon off either for Xmas or after Christmas ie voucher for time. And a card and bunch of flowers or chocolate/bottle. Something that doesn’t clutter up their houses as unless you know them really well, it’ll just be hard to guess. The handwritten bit that mentions something each has contributed over the year will be really appreciated

Very cute!
But means a special trip to London to spend it!
