Hi, hoping for some advice please. Handed in my notice at current job leave end of this month. We have to keep so many days aside for christmas but as i wont be there i think im entitled to be paid what ive accrued to the end of this month? Is this right? Thanks

Yes, you're entitled to any untaken and accrued annual leave

Will depend on your holiday year, how it runs and if you have actually already accrued them or not.

It partly depends how your contract is written and your last day of employment.

Assuming you leave on 30th November and have 28 days including BH it’s 28 days / 12 months x 11 months = 25.67 or 26 days leave.

Assuming you leave on 30th November and have 20 days plus 8 BH it’s 20 days / 12 months x 11 months = 18.34 or 19 days. Plus 7 BH (NYD, GF, EM, MD, Jubilee, SBH, ABH) = 26 days leave.

In your case they work out the same because most BH fall at the start of the year.

Perfect thank you. So even though we are to keep some aside to use at christmas as i will no longer be an employee ill be entitled to them?

Depends on your employer. We have to take all annual leave owing before we leave, we don't get paid for it. I have a colleague who's leaving end in November but finishes up tomorrow as next week is annual leave owed.
But remember you will be due 11/12 of total year entitlement
