Priorities after having children

Interested to hear how peoples priorities in work changed after having a child - did you dread going back or were less interested in your work / climbing the ladder or the opposite in fact because of higher costs of childcare?

Personally it didn’t really change at all. But in my case my work was not v much bound up in my identity of self esteem in the first place.
