Maternity pay and not going back to work.

I got a flexible working request accepted by my manager over email. However, my manger then went off sick and the general manger who who is covering denied my request.

They have messed me around with this so much. The flexible working policy I states the request will be completed within 28 days but it took over 3 months because my manger forgot about it.

Anyhow, I can't afford 2 days of child care so I may have to leave my job so I can stay at home and I am thinking of getting a part time job.

My question is about the maternity pay that I used durning leave. How is this paid back if you don't go back afterwards and you are on SNP for the last 3 months? If you don't have a full pay for them to take it out of how do you pay it back? Can you just leave without paying?

It will be entirely up to your workplace so you need to get hold of your maternity policy and contract.

The policy to make omp conditional on return should be stated upfront. They may accept a repayment plan but you may be owed for accrued leave.
