Sunday scaries - job or my mental health?

Was just wondering about this. I dread Sundays, I feel heart fluttery and irritable all day. I don't sleep on Sunday nights and I lie there with work thoughts rushing through my head.

Monday arrives and all is fine until next Sunday.

I've never had it before! and I'm wondering if it's a me problem or is it the job itself? I'm good at my job but it is difficult (engineering). Had a similar role last year and never had this.

My colleagues at both are lovely and full of work related compliments

Anyone had this and resolved it?

We can’t answer because you don’t give a huge amount of detail re work and stress involved

although you seem happy enough at work

so perhaps not entirely work related

what do you actually do on a Sunday? Perhaps you need to make it more enjoyable

I work in engineering and have big projects on the go at all times. But it's manageable! Additionally, I work part time.

I'm the only woman on my team

I spend Sundays doing all my favourite things so woodland walk, bit of shopping and today we're lighting our little fire as a treat. I usually have the fire lit once a week and play scrabble

No stress, no housework allowed.

Seems to be work related

and during your very relaxed Sundays, you are feeling highly anxious? Or is it just overnight you can’t sleep?

I had this - big time. My job has been more difficult in the last 6-12 months. But I stated HRT and I'm a lot less anxious about work now. Problems are still there but mentally I can handle them better. No idea if you're around the right age for hormonal changes, but worth considering if relevant.
