5 in 4 compressed hours - how does annual leave work?

hello

I'm sure this is obvious but im looking for advise from people who work 5 in 4

if i was doing a 5 in 4 working week and entitled to full time leave allowance as a result, how does it work when you request a day off for annual leave? would my time sheets need to be adjusted so that every day of annual leave is actually 9.375 hours? (my FT working week is 37.5 hours)

those on 5 in 4, did your companies make your time sheets/internal systems reflect this or did you have to work it out manually?

We just do it in days - so full time leave is 33 7.5 hr days (inc BH). Compressed hours as you describe would be 26.5 days inc BH that fall on your normal working day. It ends up as the same because of your longer working day

You just have to make sure that you still get. The hours in. So if I take a day off I need to work 4 days I'm 3 rather than 5 I'm 4. Or. I take two days off. But places vary.

I do a 5 in 4 week but I do 3 long days (10.5h) and 1 short day (6h). My annual leave is calculated in hours so I still get the same as I would if I were working a 5-day week.

We calculate in hours, so if your working day is 9 hours, you would request 9 hours time off. It just makes it easier.

I believe it should be calculated in hours to make sure you get the right amount assuming statutory allowance

I do 5 in 3.5. I have annual leave in hours and as the hours I do each day aren't the same, the amount of annual leave it 'costs' me depends on which day I have off.

A Monday is 10 hours, a Thursday 5.5.
